1. What these terms cover

These terms cover this website. The Tadori Japanese app is licensed under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which is between you and us rather than Apple, and which you accept when you download the app.

2. Subscriptions

There are currently no purchases in Tadori Japanese. If and when there are, they will be sold through Apple: subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, you manage and cancel them in your Apple ID settings rather than in the app, and refunds are handled by Apple under their policies rather than by us.

3. Dictionary data and licenses

The Japanese-language data in the app and on this site comes from open sources under their own licenses, which we follow and do not claim copyright over. Sources and licenses lists each one. Our own writing - explanations, practice questions, the teaching order - is ours.

4. The JLPT

JLPT and 日本語能力試験 are the names of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, administered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. Tadori Japanese is an independent study app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to either organization. Official information about the test is at jlpt.jp.

5. No guarantee of a result

Mock exam scores in the app are estimates and are labeled as such. Studying with Tadori does not guarantee that you will pass any examination.

6. Changes and contact

We update these terms when the product changes, and the date at the top says which version you are reading. Questions: [email protected].
